the Source

"the Source" was shown as part of the group exhibition Local Calls at Budapest Galleria in Budapest in August 2004. To be precise, the place of the exhibition was two old wine-cellars far below the museum at the ground-level. As a visitor one went down to a vault filled with sound and with a round video projection at the far end. Then one reached an inner vault where one could identify the source of the sound and picture.
“the Source” is an encounter between sound and picture and between the source of the sound and picture and the sound and picture themselves. An encounter where the source has come to resemble a machine, a mobile object, or – perhaps - an animate being.
